Chances of a standstill in Corona times
Standing still is associated with being slowed down or experiencing resistance for most of us. The osteopathic term “still point” describes a moment of rest in the tissue. After a few therapeutic impulses in the body or a slight contact with the tissue, a rest can arise. Followed by a sense of silence. All otherwise noticeable movements subside.
In life we also know these moments of silence:
The guests have left, the child has fallen asleep, the cat has curled up in its armchair, while talking to partners the moment of recognition has come.
For our physical tissue, this is like coming to rest and regeneration.
